offering courses to BA & MA candidates, supervising MA candidates in

linguistics and applied linguistics, & offering courses to adult EFL learners, and doing

research around linguistics and applied linguistics, at the School of Foreign Languages,

Sun Yat-sen University

M. A. (1989) in Linguistics, Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, Henan University;

Ph. D. (1996) in Applied Linguistics, Ph. D. Program in Linguistics and

ESL /EFL /ELF teaching/education, Second Language Acquisition, Discourse analysis, pragmatics, theoretical linguistics, language testing, research methodology, corpus linguistics, etc.
