从事昆虫生理生化与分子生物学研究,重点研究昆虫发育过程中蜕皮与变态的功能基因和分子调控机理。承担本科生和研究生教学工作。1990-1991年赴日本从事家蚕半胱氨酸蛋白酶研究;1998-2000年获德国政府学术交流会(DAAD)“生物科学特别项目博士后奖学金”赴德国从事烟草天蛾V-ATP酶研究;2001-2002年在日本九州工业大学从事DNA和蛋白质测序、基因重组蛋白包涵体复性和纯化、毕赤酵母表达外源基因等研究;2003年获德国政府德意志联合研究会(DFG)资助赴德国从事基因重组病毒杀虫剂构建和蛋白酶、HHR3在昆虫细胞中的表达等研究。2005年赴日本从事蛋白质组学研究。2006年赴美国密苏里大学进行短期科研工作。先后承担国家自然科学基金重点项目、重大国际合作项目和面上项目;参加国家“973”和“863”项目;以及承担山东省自然科学基金重点项目等科研项目10余项。主要学术成果有:从棉铃虫鉴定并纯化到组织蛋白酶B,克隆到该蛋白酶基因(HCB),阐明了该蛋白酶在棉铃虫生长发育中的功能,从大豆等植物种子中鉴定并纯化到该蛋白酶的抑制因子,对肿瘤细胞有抑制生长的作用;克隆了棉铃虫蜕皮调节转录因子HHR3基因并阐明了该基因的表达和激素调控模式;阐明了多种棉铃虫幼虫蜕皮和变态时期差异表达的蛋白质和基因,为研究昆虫发育的分子机制提供了新靶标;证明了非甾醇类蜕皮激素竞争物(RH-2485)可以导致棉铃虫致死性提前蜕皮,可用于田间控制棉铃虫;构建了HCB和HHR3基因重组核型多角体病毒,可用于开发高技术生物杀虫剂用于害虫控制。获得国家发明专利多项。济南市第十二届、第十三届、第十四届人大代表。

研究内容:以棉铃虫为材料,用分子生物学方法研究昆虫蜕皮与变态的分子机理,包括:蜕皮激素信号转导途径、蜕皮与变态功能基因的表达与调控、变态发育中组织重建的分子机理、血细胞在变态发育中的功能等。
Research interest: We use the cotton bollworm (Helicoverpa armigera) as a model to investigate the mechanism of insect molting and metamorphosis by molecular methods. Recent studies include: 20-OH-ecdysteroid hormone signal transduction pathway; expression and regulation of molting and metamorphosis related genes; molecular mechanism of tissue remodeling; and function of haemocytes in molting and metamorphosis.
