　　男，教授，博士，博士生导师。1985年南京农业大学农学系作物遗传育种专业本科毕业，获学士学位，1988年该校研究生毕业，获硕士学位，2008年该校博士研究生毕业，获博士学位。为国家“百千万人才工程”首批培养对象(1997年)和江苏省“333人才工程”首批第二层次培养对象。1998年获得国务院政府特殊津贴。为南京市第十二届、十三届人大代表。目前主要从事棉花基因资源发掘与种质创新研究。现主持有国家转基因重大专项、国家自然科学基金、江苏省自然科学基金等课题，参加国家973、国家支撑计划等项目课题。
　　研究工作简历：
　　 1988年-2002年8月，在江苏省农业科学院从事棉花重要性状基因的发掘利用、优质棉的种质创新和细胞遗传等研究。2000年1月至2001年1月作为访问学者公派赴澳大利亚昆士兰大学和昆士兰州基础产业部（QDPI）学习棉花分子生物学技术。2003年9月调至南京农业大学从事棉花基因资源发掘与种质创新研究。
