　　社会学系简介  
　　同济大学社会科学教育有着悠久的发展历史，早在1945年就正式设立法学院。1949年9月，上海市军管会决定将同济文法学院各系并入复旦大学文、法两院各同系。20世纪70年代末，同济大学实施恢复对德交往和综合性大学的发展战略，曾考虑重建哲学、医学系，因当时高等教育管理体制的束缚而未果，但重建同济文科和医科一直是海内外同济人的一个夙愿。1986年，学校成立社会科学系。1993年1月，正式恢复文法学院建制，下辖社会科学、法律、文化艺术、外语、德语等系以及德国问题研究所、高等教育研究所等。1998年夏天，文法学院正式以院为实体办学。
 
　　2003年4月起，为加快学校文科发展，贯彻落实学校科技教育与人文教育协调发展理念，建设综合性、研究型、国际化的现代大学的办学目标，文法学院在学校的大力支持下，实施向以学科建设为中心的研究型学院的转变，对学院结构进行了较大规模的调整：撤消了曾经为重建同济大学文科做出过重要贡献的社会科学系，组建了哲学与社会学、理论经济学、政治学与行政学3个系，加上原有的法律学和中国语言文学（文化艺术）2个系，形成了以5个系为基础的学院框架。
 
　　哲学与社会学系也从2003年起开始招收社会学本科生。2006年7月，随着同济大学文科发展的壮大，学校决定正式结束文法学院的建制，按不同的学科领域，重新组建人文学院和法政学院。之后随着学科群的不断发展，同济大学的文科建设不断提升。2009年5月，社会学系与政治系正式组建成同济大学政治与国际关系学院。
 
　　经过6年来的发展，社会学系目前在学科建设、师资配备、课程体系建设、学位点建设方面都取相当大的成就，拥有社会本科学士与硕士学位授予权。
 
　　本系依托同济大学强大的城市学科群，有着良好的发展空间。不仅培养学生较全面地掌握社会学和社会工作的基本理论知识和基本技能，更需要具备较强的实际工作能力，以实现知识、能力、人格三位一体协调发展。着力培养能够在党政机关、教育科研机构、企事业单位、新闻媒体以及各类社会团体从事教育研究、现代城市管理、人力资源管理、社会保障和社会福利、社会调查与研究、社会政策研究与评估、社会规划与管理、发展研究与预测等工作的社会学高级专门人才。并向国内外学校的社会学、社会工作和其他专业推荐攻读硕士学位。
 
　　建系6年来已向政府机构、新闻传媒和金融等各行各业输送优秀毕业生近百名，都有着美好的就业前景和深造机会。
 
　　本系设有城市和城市化社会研究、信息化社会研究、老龄化社会研究、青少年问题研究、性别问题研究等课程，聘请中外知名学者述评社会学各领域的前沿研究。同时，非常注重培养学生的实际工作能力，在教学计划中安排了社会调查等实践环节。
 
　　社会学系从开办之日起就与国内外社会学界保持着密切的学术交流与合作，学生在本科学习阶段就有机会到德国、日本、韩国等国家的大学交流学习。
　
　　同济百年校史中，社会科学有过相当的辉煌，在同济建设综合性大学的过程中，社会学系将再创辉煌。
 
　　Introduction to Department of Sociology
 
　　Department of Sociology, Tongji University was established in 2003, formerly named Department of Philosophy and Sociology, was open to enroll undergraduates students the same year.
 
　　With the development of departments of liberal arts, in July 2006 Tongji University decided to set up a separate Department of Sociology. In the following years, different disciplines grew rapidly, which in turn promoted the growth of departments of liberal arts in Tongji University. In May 2009 Department of Sociology and Department of Political Science was merged to establish formally College of Politics and International Relations, Tongji University.
 
　　After six years’ development, Department of Sociology has achieved remarkable success in discipline establishments, equipping with teaching resources, curriculum and degree-granting. It is now qualified to grant Bachelor of Siociology and Master of Siociology degrees.
 
　　With the support of Tongji University’s powerful city disciplines, Department of Sociology has a vast space to develop. It not only teaches the students to master in a more comprehensive manner the fundamental theory and basis skills of the sociology, but also coordinates the development of knowledge, capability and personality to gain the actual working capacity. It mainly focuses on training the students to become senior specialists in sociology, who can work in Party and government organizations, education and scientific research institutions, enterprises, press and news media and various types of social groups to be engaged themselves in education and research, modern city management, management of human resources, social security and social welfare, social investigation and research, social policy research and evaluation, social planning and management, development research and forecasting and etc. It can also recommends students to other universities home and abroad to study for a master’s degree in sociology and other related fields.
 
　　In the past six years our department has sent about 100 outstanding graduates to government organizations, press and news media, and financial intuitions and etc. They all have bright careers and chances for further study.
 
　　Our department also has courses of social researches in city and urbanization, infomationization, environmental issues, Chinese society and gender issues. We hire famous scholars home and abroad to evaluate frontier researches in various fields in sociology. In the meantime, we also emphasize the importance in developing the students’ actual working ability and have made some arrangements in social practice in our curriculum.
 
　　Ever since the establishment of our department, we have maintained close link with the academic circle in social science. Our students have the opportunities to study in Germany, Japan and South Korea in their undergraduate years.
 
　　Looking back at the one hundred years’ history of Tongji University, Department of Sociology had its glory. In the process of building a comprehensive Tongji University in future, Department of Sociology would contribute even more.
