  Research Interests:
  ·         Computational optical and x-ray spectroscopy
  ·         Excited-state dynamics for energy applications

X-ray spectroscopy is a valuable research tool due to the elemental specificity of the probe and the comprehensive range of information afforded by various techniques.  We seek to improve the accuracy of first-principles x-ray spectra calculations.  We pursue several approaches including the excited core hole method and solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation, in addition to utilizing non ab initio multiplet calculations.
