上海对外经贸大学研究生专业介绍：外国语言学

　　外国语言学及应用语言学：
　　本专业主要培养具有扎实的外国语言学及应用语言学理论、广泛的相关专业知识、独立的科研能力、具备跨文化沟通能力、能够从事英语教学、科研、商务翻译和商务活动的高级外语人才。学制为两年半，在规定时期完成课程学习，但未完成学位论文者，可申请延长学习年限，累计延长学习年限一般不超过一年。本专业研究方向包括应用语言学、商务英语、英语教学法和翻译学。本专业课程均采取讲授、讨论和专题研究的方式进行，对硕士研究生的培养实行导师负责制。
　　Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics M.A. Program The program aims to qualify students as first-class talents and professionals equipped with sound theoretical knowledge in foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, good language abilities, research capacities, and cross-cultural communication skills. They will be able to take up teaching, translating, interpreting, international business and other related tasks. The length of study is two years and a half. Students who have successfully completed the coursework within the required time can apply for an extension of one year maximum. Field of research contains Applied Linguistics, Business English, Teaching methodology and Translation studies. The program adopts a variety of education modes including lectures, seminars and themed research tasks. Supervisors are responsible for overseeing students’ performance in the program.
