简历:
周琪,研究员,中国科学院动物研究所副所长,计划生育生殖生物学国家重点实验室主任。
1996年毕业于东北农业大学,获理学博士学位;1997年进入中国科学院发育生物学研究所博士后流动站;1999年在中国科学院发育生物学研究所获副研究员任职资格;1999-2002年,法国国家农业研究中心(INRA)分子发育生物学部博士后;2001年入选中国科学院“百人计划”。2002年12月加入中国科学院动物研究所,任研究员。
周琪研究员主要从事细胞重编程机制和命运调控、干细胞多能性获得与维持等研究工作,并致力于推动再生医学和应用。周琪研究组现已建立了包括小鼠、大鼠在内的多种克隆及转基因动物模型;证明了小鼠克隆的可重复性;国际首次利用体细胞成功克隆大鼠;首次证明iPS细胞具有发育为健康小鼠的能力,与胚胎干细胞具有相似的多能性;发现并明确证实决定哺乳动物(小鼠)干细胞多能性的关键基因决定簇;证明iPS细胞来源的小鼠具有与胚胎干细胞来源小鼠相同的生理功能但具有致瘤倾向性;通过外源因子诱导实现了细胞跨胚层转分化,获得具有自我更新及分化为神经元能力的神经干细胞;利用基因修饰的单倍体胚胎干细胞成功获得健康成活的转基因小鼠;建立了小鼠、人等物种的胚胎干细胞系、孤雌胚胎干细胞系及iPS细胞系,依托于多能性干细胞资源建立了种子资源库,开展了细胞治疗及药物筛选等临床前基础研究及安全性评估等工作。
周琪研究员现已在Nature,Science,PNAS,JBC,Stem cells,Cell Research等数家刊物发表研究论文68篇,申请、获得重编程技术发明专利6项;其研究成果多次受到国际著名科学家的高度评价与国际科技媒体的广泛报导,其中三项研究成果分别于2003年、2009年及2012年入选我国年度十大科技进展新闻、两院院士评选的十大科技进展或十大科技新闻人物,尤其是证明iPS细胞多能性的工作还入选了美国《时代周刊》评选的2009年年度十大医学突破。
周琪研究员先后获得国际转基因研究genOway奖、何梁何利基金科学与技术奖、周光召基金会“杰出青年基础科学奖”等多项奖励。
