　　主要从事昆虫学、生态学、化学生态学、生物安全方面的教学和科研工作，专长于昆虫与植物相互关系的的化学生态学和转基因作物安全性评价研究，主要研究植物次生物质的生态学作用，刺吸式昆虫的取食行为，烟粉虱生物型的形成机理等。曾参加“863”项目1项、主持两项“973”项目子课题、 主持2项“国家自然科学基金”课题，主持“国家转基因重大专项”课题和“公益性行业项目（农业）”子课题，在国内外重要学术刊物上发表论文近50余篇（其中SCI论文25篇），出版专著2部，参编专著3部。
